Hi Hi How Do You Do?!

I'm Alexis and I am SO excited to bring My Gym fun to SW Portland! This will be my second location as I'm also an owner of My Gym Sherwood.

Growing up, dance and musical theater was a huge part of my life. I attended my local high school of the arts for musical theater and outside of school I was on a competition dance team. I was a dance major at Chapman University until an injury sidelined the hope of pursuing dance as a career. But I never lost my love for teaching dance and movement.

We lived in Southern California from 2017-2019, and I was looking for something fun for my first kiddo and I to do. We discovered My Gym. Attending class was the highlight of our week. I fell in love with the overall experience and curriculum. I honestly credit the classes with helping my late walker finally start to walk! It was wonderful to see how much she learned in class and how she connected with the teachers and other kids.

When we moved back to Oregon and realized there was not a local My Gym I decided to open one! My Gym Sherwood opened in 2021 and it has grown so much that I knew it was time to open a second location. 

My wife, two awesome kids, and I live in Beaverton. When I'm not working, you'll likely find me exploring the many parks in the area with my family, volunteering at my kids' school, reading, and traveling to Disneyland as often as possible!
