As the babies gain hand, arm and trunk control and become mobile, we introduce new and stimulating activities. Our experienced teachers are sensitive to the strong emotional attachment these little ones are developing with their mothers, and each parent/child unit is nurtured according to their specific needs.

Our Tiny Tykes and their parents are led through a variety of beginning stretches, exercises, infant songs and dances, baby-safe rides and adventures, balance and agility skills, and introductory tumbling during this motivating program. A relationship to movement and physical activity begins to develop, as our Tiny Tykes discover their natural abilities and enhance their physical and cognitive development.

This stimulating program introduces balancing, tumbling, hanging and agility skills, which helps the children develop a love of physical activity and a sense of pride in their achievements.

At this age, a child's level of independent mobility will typically progress from aggressive crawling to running. Additional fine and gross motor skills developed during this stage include kicking a ball, building a block tower, riding a tricycle, and walking up stairs.

Our highly trained instructors shower the children with affection, as they guide our Waddlers in early social skills through interactive songs, choreographed dances, age-specific puppet shows, special rides, and a variety of swings and other original activities.

This is the perfect class for almost any age, from 1.5 - 6 years old. With a mix of activities drawn from different classes, this program offers something for everyone.
Younger children get the chance to practice their circle time and work on social skills, to try new adventures, and to ride on swings, in addition to age-appropriate gymnastics skills.
Older children get to run relays, practice multiple gymnastics skills, and learn new tumbling tricks.
This class is parent-participation and is excellent for families with multiple children who want to attend a single class, or for anyone!

Gymsters 2y - 3y

The gross motor abilities of early 2-year-olds are often characterized by more confident running and jumping on two feet as well as an overall improved spatial awareness of their bodies. This is the earliest age group with which we work on fine and gross manipulatives in a structured format, as the 1½ to 2½-year-old's attention span grows, allowing the child to focus for longer periods of time.

During this engaging class, the youngsters are elated as they sing, dance, swing, play games, watch puppet shows, take turns on special rides, and have "Surprise Time!" Our Gymsters feel great about themselves as they learn gymnastics in a constantly changing program with fresh ingredients and new equipment setups each week.

In addition to having fun with structured games, fascinating "Adventures," and pre-gymnastics, our Terrific Tots learn beginning sports skills, gain fine and gross motor proficiency, and strengthen manipulative skills.

The youngsters become more independent as teachers are now interacting more directly with them. Parental involvement is gradually decreased through inviting activities with love and understanding, and the children exude pride and self-esteem as they are treated like "big kids."

In this age group, teaching physical skills is a top priority. The development of social skills is also emphasized, as the youngsters become good listeners, follow directions, cooperate in a group, and learn more about themselves.

Rather than kicks and punches, Judo students learn throws, trips, holds and grappling techniques. At My Gym, we focus on the 3 C's of Control, Cooperation, and Courtesy to help children incorporate gentleness into their entire lives.

Our first Judo class introduces our youngest students to "The Gentle Way". Children learn how to safely fall, how to control their bodies and their opponents, and simple tripping and throwing techniques. Focus is on the "3 C's": Control, Courtesy, and Cooperation.

Families will enjoy laughing, learning, and playing together in this unstructured playtime session. Special care is taken to keep all of our families safe and healthy. Children of all ages will love exploring the gym, playing games, and discovering new skills during their 50-minute, fun-filled My Gym Practice & Play. Admission is limited to children currently enrolled in classes.

Practice & Play is not a regular class, and no advance registration is required. Any child enrolled in any other class can come to Practice & Play at no cost and with no need to sign up!

I hereby authorize My Gym to charge my credit/debit card every four (4) weeks. The current tuition is stated on this form and is subject to change with notification.

Tuition is based on four (4) weeks of class programming. This includes one (1) structured class and Unlimited Free Plays per week. Members must inform the gym of an absence a minimum of 2 hours in advance to be eligible for a make-up. Each make-up must be completed within six (6) weeks of the missed class. There may be short periods when My Gym is closed or classes are not running. If this occurs and a class is missed, the member is entitled to a make-up that does not expire. Policies may differ for Martial Arts and other ancillary programs. During periods of Unlimited Attendance, or if child is enrolled in Unlimited Classes, children may attend as many age-appropriate classes as desired each week, with at least 24 hours advance notice. During this period, children will not accrue make-ups for missed classes.

This agreement constitutes a continuous payment plan and will remain in effect until terminated by the member. Your child will automatically remain enrolled at My Gym until an official Cancellation Request Form (CRF) has been completed and submitted in person or online. It is agreed that, when a CRF has been received, the member will be responsible for any payments still remaining before their chosen end date and may attend classes until this date. This agreement will terminate after the last scheduled class.

All payments to My Gym are non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances. Store credit for classes missed due to medical emergencies may be given at the sole discretion of My Gym Buffalo Grove.
